Sargento Cheese Review – Wow This the Best Cheese to eat

When I was a small boy, the only cheese that I liked was mozzarella and only on my pizza – and that was it. As time went on, my taste buds began a strange metamorphosis and the cheeses I hated became the cheeses that I love today, and put on everything from bread to all sorts of pasta dishes. Plus, everybody knows that cheese is a great source of calcium and protein – to name a couple of its best benefits. There is a company that makes cheese called Sargento which I have tried and found that they have a nice product selection, which I will go over with you and see what you think of their cheeses.

Shredded Cheese

I love using shredded cheese on pasta dishes to pizza to anything that requires shredded cheese and I could go on and on. Sargento has twenty-two different types of shredded cheeses. I will over view some of them and you decide which ones you like.

The first is TACO BLEND, great in tacos, Mexican pizza, on baked potatoes or even in omelets. Taco Blend is a blend of Cheddar, Colby and Monterey Jack cheeses with a secret blend of Mexican seasonings.

I like this one called 4 CHEESE ITALIAN. This one I would use in dishes like lasagna, meatball subs and spaghetti to name a few. If you’re into Mexican dishes, Sargento has 4 CHEESE MEXICAN with Monterey Jack, Mild Cheddar, Queso Quesadilla and Asadero cheeses. It comes in three styles: fine cut, traditional and reduced fat and is great in enchiladas, burritos, and quesadillas.

Hey, if you are a cheddar cheese junkie, Sargento has the cheese for you, called 4 STATE CHEDDAR made from the following cheeses: Sharp Wisconsin Cheddar, Sharp Vermont Cheddar, Sharp New York Cheddar and Mild California Cheddar cheese.

For those people not watching their waste line too much, there is SHREDDED WHOLE MILK MOZZARELLA. Try it on homemade pizza or other pasta dishes.

Slice Cheese

Here is a category of cheese that is great on sandwiches or any other type of food that requires sliced cheese, and there are twenty-four flavors to choose from. Again, I will give you a description of the cheese products. First, there is TOMATOE & BASIL JACK. Try this one on a chicken or turkey sandwich.

How about some SLICED COLBY? I think that would go fabulous with apples, pears, rye bread and burgers, and crackers. If that’s not your cheese, maybe this one is: HAVARTI CHEESE comes from Denmark, but Sargento has perfected the buttery taste and creamy texture to pair well with smoked turkey, fresh veggies, hearty bread and even fresh or dried fruits.

Never heard of this one before – called GOUDA CHEESE. It is a semi-soft texture, with a mild, nutty and buttery flavor. It will add interest to otherwise ordinary sandwiches and is good with dark bread. Match it with smoked ham and apple butter for a sandwich. Well, that’s all for this category. String & Stick

If you’re one who likes to snack and run out the door or if you like wine parties that have cheese to eat as you sip your wine, this category might be for you. The number of different kinds of string & stick are nine. Let’s start with CHEDDAR CHEESE SNACKS – wonderful to pair with crackers or other wholesome foods like apples and pears.

If you want to spice things up a bit try PERRY JACK NATURAL CHEESE STICKS. They are ideal alone or in a flour tortilla with smoked turkey breast and sliced tomatoes (make sure you have a glass of water handy!) Time to move on to the next cheese category – that’s all for this category.

Sweet Balanced Breaks

Sargento decided to bring two great tastes together (sounds like an old candy bar commercial): sweet and savory. These snacks have savory natural cheese on one side and dried fruit and sweetness on the other. One product has Monterey Jack Natural Cheese on one side and dried cranberries and caramel glazed walnuts on the other. Is that not great? There are six products to choose from. Some of the others are Monterey Jack Natural Cheese with Dried Cranberries, Dark Chocolate Chunks and Banana Chips. That makes my taste buds jump for joy!

Another one is called Natural Cheddar Cheese with Sea-Salted Roasted Almonds, Raisins and Greek Yogurt Flavored Drops. Sweet Balanced Breaks come in lots of wonderful flavors with textures like no other. They are packaged individually in snack trays and come three in a package.

There are four varieties of these cheese products. I will list a couple of them. One is Monterey Jack Cheese, Walnut Oat Granola with Dark Chocolate with Golden Raisins. Sargento says it’s good for pre and post workouts.

My, this one sounds good for me. It has

Medium Cheddar Cheese, Raisins and Maple-Flavored Pumpkin Seeds. Sounds like a wonderful snack before bedtime.

Balanced Breaks

I think this is my favorite category because it is good and healthy for you. There are eight cheese products in the Balanced Breaks section. I will explain some of them to you all. Check out this one that has Monterey Jack Natural Cheese with Apple Juice-Infused Dried Cranberries and Shelled Pumpkin Seeds. Sounds good to me!

My, this one is great too! It has Gouda Natural Cheese with Honey Roasted Peanuts and Dried Cranberries. I have never heard of cheese and peanuts together before (yum.)

Here is another one. It has Natural Sharp Cheddar Cheese with Cashews and Cherry Juice- Infused Dried Cranberries. Who needs candy when you have these delicious cheeses to eat instead?

The final one I will mention has Natural Double Cheddar Cheese with Dried Cranberries and Salted Walnuts. I think the squirrels would like this one because of the walnuts in it.

To The Cheesy End

Oh my – I never thought Sargento had all these different cheese combinations and flavors to choose from. I am surely glad my taste buds metamorphed or I would still be eating mozzarella cheese to this day! I highly recommend the next time you when run out of cheese, to get some of the best Sargento cheese. Your mouth and taste buds will thank you.
